Dear Church,
Our commitment to you as our congregation with regards to health and safety as we fellowship together in God’s House is very important.
As COVID-19 impacts our nation and the world it is vital that in times such as we are facing we act responsibly and swiftly, and over recent weeks we have taken advice from health officials to be sure we comply.
With Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern addressing the nation regularly with updates and precautions in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) we want to keep you informed of the precautions the Church is taking to ensure the health and safety not only of us as the Body of Christ, but our community.
In the light of these new developments, from this Sunday significant changes to our services will be in place as we support and take our place in the fight to stop this virus spreading.
We make these changes not because we are fearful but with faith and hope in God knowing that He is in control! His love and care for the world has never changed and is still the same today. He has a purpose and plan for all our lives and we trust Him to bring it to pass.
These are difficult days so let us be a people of hope in a time of hopelessness and fear and uncertainty. Let us remember God’s promise of 2 Tim 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
As we pray for our world at this time, Ann and I also continue to keep each of you in our prayers, and thank you for your prayers! Although the future seems unclear we know Who holds the future. God be with you all always.
Christian love,
Pastor.
