Mālō e Lēlēi Famili!

  How are we all?
Air-Hugs coming your way and let’s see how this ‘New Norm’ treats us J
I know it’s back to school/work for most of us so…
Stay safe and healthy and hope to see you all sometime soon!

‘Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others,
as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms’

1 Peter 4:10

Why does God give us gifts and talents?
Because He wants us to bless others!!

I’ve shared this with some of you so here it is again hehe.

The gift/talent that God has given me is a musical gift.
All my life I have loved music, singing, and all genres of music.
The main problem was – Hiding it.

I had been given opportunities in School, Uni, and mainly Church to be able to use this gift but I would always shy away from it. I didn’t think I was good enough, didn’t want to be laughed at etc… (I studied Jazz hence the ‘laughed at’ part lol)

Opportunities at church would include being involved in the Children’s Plays, Youth Group Band, Singing at Outreaches… And again, I would say things like, ‘Nah nah I’m allgood’ or ‘Oh no I can’t’ but deep down I knew I wanted to.

I would like sing and play at home as if I was performing for a huge audience but just couldn’t bring myself to do this.

Along comes Winter Realive 2014.

We’re all down at camp for the last day together with Roskill and we have some free time before dinner. We decided to learn a song, and one of the young boys was playing the guitar (and really well too, I must say).

I then asked him if he would be keen to play the song we were going to sing. He said the exact same words I would say – ‘Naaaaaah, Im not good’ ‘Nah I can’t play’. Straight away, I said – ‘Tala, why do you want to hide your talent? You’re amazing, and you should use your gift’.

As soon as I said that, I heard God speak to me.

‘Excuse me Daria, What you said to Tala is what I’ve been trying to tell you for so many years.
Use your gift to bless others and to glorify me’

Since that day, I have been using my gift for the ministry God has put me in.
Whether I play the wrong notes or not, All I know is that I’m using it to glorify God and letting my teeny light shine J

What I’m trying to say is – I know a lot of you have amazing talents and please don’t hide them. Whether you’re a Masterchef, Artist, Can play an instrument, a person who can fix anything (cars, IT) – there are always opportunities to help people wherever you go and also witness to them.

‘There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work’ 1 Corinthians 12:4-6

Whatever it is, God’s behind it!
God wants us to honour Him with our gifts!

Use your unique role in the body of Christ to glorify Him.
By doing this, we are blessing others and building His kingdom!

‘Ofa atu,
Daria Xx

Ia Orana Fam!

Missing you guys a million L
Been awesome catching up with a lot of you during lockdown,
So let’s have a YG Zoom sesh soon ay?

Let me be real with you for a minute.

This week has been a bit of a rough one.
I’d been trying to juggle a few too many things at once which then lead to me
feeling so overwhelmed and then hello!  My anxiety kicks in

And as much as I don’t want to admit it - Some days, I had also missed opportunities to sit with God
and spend time opening up to Him about the struggles I’d been going through.

Having noticed the change in my attitude towards each day and sometimes my family
 - This has showed me (again) that it is so important that we start our day with Jesus.

Dive into His Word - talk to Him – let it all out because He is always listening J
God knows Best and He really does care for us!

‘Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.’
I Peter 5:7

‘Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.’
James 4:7

These are some of the ways the enemy can try and steal us away from God.
The enemy tends to mess with our mind and thoughts.

 Our God is very Real!
He shows Himself to us in so many different ways, and

I’ve learnt (and still am learning) that no matter how young or old we are,
there will be times where we will find it hard in our walk with God.

God’s Word tells us to ‘Put on the whole armour of God in the morning so at the end of the day you will be standing’.

Stand strong in your armour and know your identity as a child of God.
Let’s continue to run and commit to the race by fixing our eyes on Him.

God is most definitely in control!

 Te ‘āpā maita’i atu nei,
(Big Hugs!)

Hey Youth group, warm greetings to you all, from my bubble to yours.😊 How are you all doing? Hope you're keeping yourselves busy around home and enjoying the rest. Missing you all very much but sending you all a massive hi 5🖐 for now till we see each other soon.

I would like to share a little word with you all, and hope it will help you in your Christian walk as we face this lock down together. Don't forget to stay strong and faithful and remember to give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! For his mercy endures forever. Also hope you're all staying in touch with one another and encouraging others through a phone call or txt message, send a verse or song to bless one another and lift each other in the faith. Remember God loves and cares for You!!  GOD YOU'RE SO GOOD!

"Taste and see that the LORD is good." Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

 What's your favorite food?
How did that food become your favorite?
Most likely, one day you tried the food and discovered that it was good?

This is the same with getting to know God. To get to know Him you've got to try Him. Obviously, you can't  try God like you would try food, but you can get to know Him. You can Pray, read your bible, listen to teachings through our online services and find out for yourself that He is good.

You know the closer you get to God, the closer you'll realize that you can trust Him.

God isn't up one day and down the next. God doesn't have days when He likes you and days when He doesn't.....to be honest I've had those days, I'm sure we all have...God is always the same. He's faithful and as you get to know Him, you begin to trust Him more.

Choose to make, getting to know God more a priority. Put the effort into finding out that GOD is truly good!

A nice simple message that we understand, so why not put it into practice, may we all get into the habit of reading God's word daily and praying for each other that we may learn and get to know God more, and not forgetting to love one another so that we may all Taste and see that the Lord is good!!

 See you all soon.:-)

 Take care and God bless.

Ni Sa Bula!

How are we all? Home work-outs and baking going good?
2 metre distance -Air High Fives coming your way!

Make a Joyful NOISE unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice and sing praise.’
Psalm 98:4

We heard from Pastor on Sunday and as always, he continues to encourage us not to stay quiet and to bless and sing praises to our God at ALL times!

How many of you love to sing? Dance? Express Emotion?

How many of you are like me – when you have all the confidence in the world and sing so hard in the car or in the comfort of your own room?

It doesn’t matter if you are the most amazing singer or if you can barely hold a tune (that’s Me) – David said in his Psalm to make a joyful NOISE!

All the Praise belongs to our God!

 Vinaka Vaka Levu,

Aloha Fam – Me again :)

How are you all holding up in this now cold, rainy weather?
I for one, prefer the cold over the hot season ANY DAY!
Stay warm, safe and take good care of yourselves!!

Every day is a new day and a blessing from God.

‘A new day will dawn on us from above because our God is loving and merciful.’ – Luke 1 v 7-8

Music plays a HUGE part in my life, which also reflects how I’m feeling and where I’m able to express myself.

Is that the same with you?

Here’s a song that keeps me smiling :)

This song constantly reminds me that God loves us so much and is always working in our lives – Hence why ‘I Smile’.
Knowing that God has your back – What a feeling!

You may already know it - If not, well now you do :)
Add it to your playlist, sing-a-long, or have a jam with your bubble!

If you have a favourite song, please share it with us!

Nui o ke aloha,

Ola everyone, hope you are all keeping well in your bubble and helping mum and dad around the home. For those of you who are still able to work, Praise the Lord, and to those of you that are studying on line at home, may God Bless you too:)

We'll it’s been a while since we were last together as a Youth group because of the lockdown, missing and praying for you all that you will keep the faith and stay close to our Lord.

It was great to hear Pastor Yandall encourage us about Jesus Resurrection on Sunday. I loved the song he quoted. He's Alive, He's Alive He's Alive forevermore, Jesus is Risen from the dead.

I would like to share with you a little word of encouragement:

I had an awesome Easter because we got to celebrate one of the most important and memorable events in the history of the world. We get to remember the Death and the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus. I got to learn a new song called "God You're So Good " sung by Kristian Stanfill. I just kept playing it over and over in the weekend. This song blessed me so much that it reminded me how good God truly is.  Look it up.

There are couple of verses below that encouraged me over the weekend and I hope will encourage you too. Especially God’s perfect plan and His amazing Love for us all.

Please stay safe and keep in touch.

Talofa Lava Guys!

I hope you’re all keeping well and safe and that you’re not driving your bubbles crazy! LOL
I’m missing you guys a whole lot, even more than Wicked Wings!

I’ve been missing our church services – Because for me, nothing brings me closer to him than through praise and worship while we’re in God’s house.  I’ve exhausted all my Spotify playlists, YouTube videos and am now going through my Mum’s Gaither DVDs. (You know y’all like them too :))

Right now - with the global pandemic Covid-19 and lockdown – if anything, it has taught me to embrace and appreciate what I have around me and most importantly, – My Jesus.

2019 was by far my most CHALLENGING year – emotionally, physically and spiritually. I knew my walk with Jesus wasn’t anywhere NEAR, where I wanted it to be. But I tell you, I have never felt closer to him that I have now. :)

Not because of what the world is going through at this point in time – But by surrounding myself with people who also LOVE Jesus!

“Bad company ruins good morals” – 1 Corinthians 15:33

I wanted to share a few verses with you and hope that it would continue to revitalize your appetite for His Word and to stand strong in your faith :)

I Timothy 4:12 – Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

Isaiah 12:2 – Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.

II Chronicles 16:9a – For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.

I Corinthians 16:13 – Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave and be strong.

Now that we’re at staying at home in our bubble (I’m still working  :( – Your Girl here is Essential :) )

With the time that we have, I urge you to stay connected with our Heavenly Father by reading His word, talking to Him and listening to songs that show just how awesome He really is, especially during tough times.

I’ll leave you with one last verse - This is a verse my Mum has engraved in my heart since I can remember. When you feel like you can’t do anything, or things aren’t going how you would like them to, just remember:

‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not under your own understanding – In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths’ – Proverbs 3:5-6

 Alofa atu,

Daria :)
