Our Prime Minister has raised the COVID-19 alert level to level 3 going to level 4 at 11:59pm Wednesday 25 March.
What this means for us as a church community, is that we must stay at home and stop all physical interactions with others outside of those in our households. This also means that anyone with a church key must not access our church buildings.
While the COVID-19 alert level is at level 3 or 4, we cannot physically meet at church; however, we are able to “meet” online.
As mentioned in our previous notifications, we now have a church app which can be installed on your smart phone (android, iPhone or tablet). Through this app you can receive immediate notifications from us. (Please note: this will not work from your PC or Laptop).
Follow the instructions below to install the app onto your smart phone or tablet.
Download from the app store
Click these links, or search for Infoodle
Once you launch the app you are asked which organisation – search for: Church of Christ NZ
If you need help setting this up, please call the office.
We strongly encourage you all to visit our website: www.ccnz.org.nz to view/hear regular messages from our oversight and ministers. Our Sunday Morning message will be posted for viewing at 11:00am and further messages and notes of encouragement will be posted throughout the week.
There will be an opportunity for those wanting to partake of communion on a Sunday Morning to do so from your own home. Please have your juice and biscuit ready so that we can partake together from our different locations as a church family.
If you have successfully installed the new church app on your phone or tablet, and would prefer not to receive email notification, please advise the office on firstname.lastname@example.org and we will delete you from our email notifications.
For those wanting to continue your tithes, you can transfer
into our bank account:
ANZ – 01-0183-0004206-00 or alternatively through our church app or website. Please put your offering number and/or name as a reference to enable us to receipt you at the end of the financial year.
Throughout this period of COVID-19 alert, the office will be operating from a home base. For any inquires, concerns, requests for prayer, help or assistance over this period, please contact the office on: 021 137 2879 or email email@example.com .
If you are experiencing financial hardship and don’t know where to get help, contact Michael Humphries on 021 721400 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for advice.
We encourage you all to keep in touch with each other, especially our older people and those on their own who may feel isolated and vulnerable.
We trust the Lord for His protection over us all and we are praying for you all in these uncertain times.
Yours in Christ
